Judge's Insight
I apologize up front I have no hard data on this, this is just a general observation.
Judges insight only changes your damage to holy and gives you plus 20% penetration. Here's some questions. 1. I've been using this skill over and over and I actually think my damage goes down!!? Can anyone help ? Ensign where are you? 2. Another one I'm sure Ensign knows If your damage is changed to holy which supposedly ignores armor why is the +20% armor penetration beneficial ? Or rather how does this add to the damage ? I can obviously see applications against armour that has + Holy Damage coverage, but I haven't seen any armor like that. |

slight tangent, but the description on the spell is a bit more vague than most.
"target ally's attacks" They mean melee attacks right? spells don't convert to holy correct? ask because other spells in that line, for example Strength of Honor clearly states "deals 1-8 more damage in melee" Last edited by JAGeAkurei; May 09, 2005 at 01:15 AM // 01:15.. |

I feel the topics question wasn't answered. Instead of posting my own thread with the same question can someone answer it please, to clarify the question is:
Why does Judge's Insight add holy dmg AND armor penetration when holy ignores armor? |

Holy damage does not = ignore armor...
The only reason the monk smiting skills ignore armor is because it was built into the skill that it ignore armor... When your weapon change into an element... the only thing it do is being more effective on someone with lower resistance to it, and less effective against someone who has high resistance to it. When you change into holy, you will do 2x damage on undead... however, you will not be having armor ignoring damage on your weapon... just the 20% armor penetration. |

Holy damage doesnt ignore armor, it's another form of elemental damage. However, some of the smiting skills ignore armor and just happen to do holy damage
Spells dont benefit from Judge's Insight, only melee or ranged attacks and attack skills. If you're damage is going down(very odd if it does) that means you must be hitting something with high resistance to holy damage. |

Hmm, are you sure holy damage is considered "elemental" damage? If it is, shouldn't Lifebond trigger Stormchaser? I've tested it and it seems lifebond does not trigger stormchaser, so =/
